This website (bilabs.de) is operated as a private educational project under the pseudonym "bilabs".

We provide educational content focused on cybersecurity, mathematics, and computer science.

What Data We Collect

1. Lead Magnet Downloads

When you download educational materials (PDFs, cheatsheets), we collect:

• Email address (to send you the download link)
• Material ID (which resource you requested)
• Page source (which page you downloaded from)
• Timestamp (when you submitted the request)
• Consent confirmation (that you agreed to receive the material)

2. Anonymous Website Analytics

We collect minimal analytics data to understand how people use our site:

• Page paths (which pages are visited)
• Referrer URLs (where visitors came from)
• Browser type (User-Agent string)
• Timestamp (when the page was visited)

✓ Privacy-friendly: We do NOT collect or store IP addresses. We do NOT use cookies for tracking.

3. Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.

We use browser localStorage (client-side only) to remember your email address for convenience when downloading multiple materials. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers except when you explicitly submit a download request.

How We Use Your Data

• Email addresses: Only to send you the educational materials you requested. We may also send you updates about new materials (you can opt out anytime).
• Analytics data: To understand which content is most helpful and improve the user experience.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored using:

• Cloudflare D1 (database for email addresses and analytics)
• Cloudflare R2 (storage for PDF files and audio)
• Cloudflare Workers (serverless processing)

Security Measures

• All data transfers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS 1.3)
• Download links are time-limited (1 hour expiry)
• No IP addresses stored in our analytics
• Email addresses are normalized and deduplicated

• Access: Request a copy of the data we have about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your email address and associated data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from future emails or request removal from our database

Note: We currently handle privacy requests manually. We aim to respond within 30 days. Automated data export/deletion features are planned for future implementation.

Data Retention

• Email addresses: Currently stored indefinitely. Planned: Automatic deletion after 24 months.
• Analytics data: Currently stored indefinitely. Planned: Automatic deletion after 12 months.
• Downloaded files (PDFs/Audio): Stored indefinitely (public educational content, no personal data).

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
